A PLACE FOR EVERY RACE

Purpose and Vision

Our purpose originates from Ephes. 2:8-10 "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

Individuals are invited to enter into a relationship with Jesus that is both real and personal and is characterized by faith, obedience, and commitment. The result of this relationship is "good works." God prepared a plan for each of us in advance. The surest way to know if we are walking in that plan is to study the Bible. Our purpose is to connect God's people with God's Word by using Precept Ministries' Inductive Bible study tools.

Our purpose is uniquely characterized by vision. Proverbs 29:18 says, "Where there is no vision (declaration of the Word of God) the people perish." The Word of God directs our Elders who serve by leading and our deacons who lead by serving. Our church is under Divine leadership, not a dictatorship or a democracy. We do not vote on whether or not to do what God wants us to do. When God speaks to us through Scripture, we ask the church to pray along with us to accomplish what God wants us to do.  There  must be unanimity among our elders before we attempt to do God's will.

Our vision is of a healthy community strengthened through accurate Biblical interpretation and application. Our purpose and vision keep us committed to glorifying God, showing others Christ and maturing our faith in God.
