Pastor Lurone Jennings II
Lurone Jennings II was born in Chattanooga, TN. He graduated from Tyner High School in 1990. After high school and going to several colleges, Lurone transferred to East Tennessee State University where he was a member of the football team. Lurone graduated from ETSU in 1995 with a B.A. in Sociology.
It was during college that Lurone accepted God’s plan for his life and began to follow Jesus. He began to lead and challenge college students and athletes to walk with Jesus and to accept Him as their personal Savior.
Since graduating from college, Lurone continues to try and make a difference wherever he goes. He has spent over ten years ministering to and mentoring young people through organizations such as the Bethlehem Center, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Outreach to America’s Youth, Young Life, Fortwood Center, Boy Scouts of America, Bethel Bible Village, Emerald Youth Foundation of Knoxville, BASIC, and New Covenant Fellowship Church.
Lurone is the youth pastor at New Covenant Fellowship Church and president of BASIC which stands for Believing in Athletes, Students and Introducing Christ. BASIC is a non-profit organization that believes that athletes and students can be winners in life if they possess the basic skills needed to accomplish their goals, but more importantly, understand God’s plan for their lives.

Pastor Lurone & Tamara
Tamara A. Jennings was born in Knoxville TN, where she graduated from Rule High School. After high school Tamara set off to Chattanooga to attend The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she earned a B.S. in Psychology.
The college life offered Tamara many challenges that led her to search for Jesus. The encounter that Jesus and Tamara experienced would change her life and her perspective of life forever. Jesus became Lord.
Tamara’s passion for Christ is often displayed as she works with children throughout the city of Chattanooga, and currently Calvary Christian Academy. She has worked with and ministered through organizations such as Kandy Kastle Day Care, Boys Club of Chattanooga, Bethel Bible Village, Lutheran Family Services, Young Life, Bethlehem Center, Outreach To America’s Youth, Youth Villages, Emerald Youth Foundation of Knoxville, and BASIC.
Tamara works along side Lurone, ministering to youth at New Covenant Fellowship Church and BASIC. She is the co-founder and serves as the administrator for the ministry of BASIC.
